I just watched a panel discussion on Bill Cosby's guilty verdict by The Grapevine. One of the panelists, a black man, Bolarin, was hesitant to be believe that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted the women. He used a ridiculous example to support his point. He compared believing that Cosby sexually assaulted the women to believing in Big Foot. When I heard this of course I was like "What the fuck?" This is why women don't want to tell people that they've been sexually assaulted because of shit like this. What the hell does Big Foot has to do with believing women when they say they've been raped? Like it's such a far fetched idea. We're talking about actual people who have been violated by some powerful man who can easily get away with abusing women.  It's insulting that a black man would make such a false equivalency. Like he really pulled that out of his ass. I can't even believe this shit. We are trying to have a serious discussion about rape, and he want to bring up Big Foot like that's going to add a dimension to a nuanced discussion. Goodbye sir. Like @JustLatasha404 said, "I'm sorry your dad never came home and that you will never be a Huxtable."
